Saying Goodbye to Summer

The cool season has finally hit Tulear! We will miss a few things about our hot, summer days. The boys have loved another summer filled with long afternoons at the pool and hours of splashing around in our warm Indian Ocean. And Eli and I are finally getting the hang of surfing! Living by these gorgeous beaches can make some good summertime memories. But, we sure won't miss much else!

Despite temperatures still in the mid 80s, the inhabits of the south are pulling out the winter gear. This means coats, hot drinks, and wrapping up in blankets. The more your body adjusts to the hot summers, the colder winter feels here. After 7 years of acclimating to the heat, we are definitely pulling out all the soup and cider recipes! Goodbye sweating through church services. Goodbye eating out because it's too hot to turn the stove on. Goodbye ice cubes in my coffee. Goodbye summer...'til we meet again!

Titus, sweating through a church service.
