Independence Day - Malagasy Style
We had fun celebrating Madagascar's Independence Day. Our church all met together downtown for the fireworks show - which turned out to be pretty amazing. There was about 30 minutes of non stop fireworks. Eli was in awe, and by the end he even took his hands off his ears and cheered along with the crowd. Afterwards, we headed to the church for a late night party where everyone dressed in traditional Malagasy clothes. Christina, Tessa, and I joined in the fun by wearing our Malagasy wraps and attempting some Malagasy hairstyles.
