Grandma Burch

I was so excited to be able to share several weeks with my Grandma (my Dad's mom). I always have a great time with her and it is fun to see how we are alike in many ways. People always wonder where I get my competitive nature from, and I think I have to attribute it to her. After playing cards with my grandma and sister-in-law one day, my sister-in-law told me that it scared her a little to play with my grandma. Apparently she can be pretty intimidating. I had to laugh - as I have heard this about myself a few times! Though I must admit that we are both pretty good at winning games! :) Grant told me that if I don't stop winning games, no one is going to want to play with me anymore. I am going to have to work that! :)
The boys also loved getting to spend some time with Great-Grandma. It was the first time that Titus and Jude were able to meet her in person. It was a sweet time, to watch my boys get to know and love someone so special to me.

Hey Jude!!!

We are excited to share that baby Jude has arrived! It was an unexpected and early arrival, but a welcome one nonetheless. His due date was November 28th, so we had about three more weeks to wait. So on Friday (Nov 9th), we drove up to Tampa for a baby appointment. The doctor checked me and said that there was no action going on...no signs of an early arrival. So we began the 2 hour drive back to Port Charlotte. About an hour from home those tricky braxton hicks contractions were getting pretty regular and by the time we had returned home they were coming less than 5 minutes a part! So we dropped off the kids with Grandma and headed back up to Tampa, praying that we wouldn't have to deliver a baby on the side of the road during the long drive back! Once we arrived at the hospital, it was confirmed that I was indeed in labor (2 1/2 weeks early). I was so blessed to have a special childhood friend be my labor and delivery nurse. Addition - Multiplication

We currently have two groups of believers that have been meeting regularly (Kilimary and Besatra). They are at an exciting part of their journey to becoming a reproducible church. They are about to finish learning (studying and memorizing) the evangelism track of stories, and are ready to go out to nearby villages and share the stories! In the next month they will be starting a new set of discipleship stories focused on developing their understanding of themselves in context of the Church. Last week, Grant, Doug, and Nathan headed down south to hold another evangelism event in two villages we have been developing relationships for several years (Andremba and Tanantsoa). Both villages have shown great trust in Grant, and have expressed their readiness to hear about God. The guys spent the past week going through the evangelism story set (20 stories from creation to Christ) with both villages.
