I Adore These Boys






I am absolutely in love with my boys. I really felt like having two boys would be overwhelming, but these past few months have been a blast. Eli is the greatest big brother - he adores his "Ty-Ty" and can't get enough of him. He is super protective and loves showing him off. Eli is an incredibly compassionate little boy, and the things he says are hilarious. My favorite part is listening to him sing and pray. I learn so much! (i.e. Did you know that Jesus' favorite food is cheerios?) He has also been wanting to know more and more about who God is. We talk a lot about "Jesus dying on the cross" and what that means for us. We were really thinking he was starting to understand a good bit. Then, a few days ago he was playing outside with Maverick (our lab) and started crying. When I asked him what happened he kept saying over and over,"I died...I just died" :) We'll keep working on it!

Titus (A.K.A. Ty, Ty-Ty, Bubba, Chunker, and Tubby) is ADORABLE. He is so cuddly and precious and has been such an easy addition to the family. He is quick to smile, albeit quick to cry too! He loves bath time and hanging out in the swing. Most of all he loves listening to his big brother talk to him. I also think there is a good chance this one might end up a mommy's boy! :) He had his 2 month check up and is a big boy. He already weighs 12.5 lbs and is over 90th percentile for length. He's not missing any meals! :) He is doing great with sleep too - 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep at night (12 hrs if you include the times I wake him up to feed him). He has been such a great baby!

I am so glad to see that you all are doing well and the baby is here and healthy. All of us who came from First Orlando miss being in Africa. Every time I hear the word "Africa", I am all ears and want to know what is happening. I hope that the little bit if injection training we were able to provide helped alleviate some nerves:-) You all remain in my prayers!!! Love to all, Ginger Scally

Hey Jude!!!

We are excited to share that baby Jude has arrived! It was an unexpected and early arrival, but a welcome one nonetheless. His due date was November 28th, so we had about three more weeks to wait. So on Friday (Nov 9th), we drove up to Tampa for a baby appointment. The doctor checked me and said that there was no action going on...no signs of an early arrival. So we began the 2 hour drive back to Port Charlotte. About an hour from home those tricky braxton hicks contractions were getting pretty regular and by the time we had returned home they were coming less than 5 minutes a part! So we dropped off the kids with Grandma and headed back up to Tampa, praying that we wouldn't have to deliver a baby on the side of the road during the long drive back! Once we arrived at the hospital, it was confirmed that I was indeed in labor (2 1/2 weeks early). I was so blessed to have a special childhood friend be my labor and delivery nurse. Addition - Multiplication

We currently have two groups of believers that have been meeting regularly (Kilimary and Besatra). They are at an exciting part of their journey to becoming a reproducible church. They are about to finish learning (studying and memorizing) the evangelism track of stories, and are ready to go out to nearby villages and share the stories! In the next month they will be starting a new set of discipleship stories focused on developing their understanding of themselves in context of the Church. Last week, Grant, Doug, and Nathan headed down south to hold another evangelism event in two villages we have been developing relationships for several years (Andremba and Tanantsoa). Both villages have shown great trust in Grant, and have expressed their readiness to hear about God. The guys spent the past week going through the evangelism story set (20 stories from creation to Christ) with both villages.
