Strategy Training in Ampefy

We were blessed last week with lots of great fellowship with other missionaries.
One of our leaders and his wife, Wade and Dee Anne, came down to Tulear for a visit. Grant was able to take them out to the Mahafaly people on an over night trip, before we all headed north via car to the rainforest.
In the rainforest we visited with our fellow colleagues. It was so much fun, being able to share frustrations and encouragements with one another. God is really blessing the ministry among the Tanala people, and it is so exciting to be able to see it first hand! One of these families is headed on stateside assignment. Although it was hard to say goodbye, as we know it will be a while before we see them again, we know that they will think of us when they are enjoying Taco Bell, movie theaters, grocery stores, and all the other wonderful blessings of America!! :) They were so sweet to host us during this transition time and they even threw Eli a pre-birthday party!
From there, we headed to Ampefy (with a quick night over in Tana). Ampefy is a beautiful town about 3 hours west of the capital. It is set on a quiet lake, with a small waterfall running into it. A short way out of town, you can visit natural geysers. We spent the week in this gorgeous place, working on our strategies for reaching our people groups. It was a great opportunity to be able to talk out our ideas, set goals, and make action plans to see those goals fulfilled. Thank you to all who made this training possible for us! :)
