An alcohol filled EASTER FETY! (CELEBRATION!)
We had a great day today. Our town of Antsirabe took a break today from political protests to have a "fety" or a celebration. All weekend long, the Malagasy will celebrate Easter with a city wide celebration. Downtown is full of booths with food, drinks, toys, balloons, and much more. They have set up rides for the kids and they even have cotton candy. We almost felt like we were in America...well...until we saw the carousel going around because they were being pushed by men! Haha. Eli had a blast playing on a bouncy house with Daddy and riding on Unlce Michael's shoulders with his prized balloon. We even made a little friend, Mino. A little girl that followed us around (hoping for money or candy, but happy with just talking to us). Although I am happy to see the town celebrate the death and resurrection of our Lord, they sure chose to do it in an interesting way! I have never seen so much alcohol! They sure made it a celebration! Haha!
