A Week in Kenya
We are home safe and sound after a great trip to Kenya. We have spent the last week and a half right outside of Nairobi, Kenya at a nice conference center. The conference center is located among miles of amazing tea farms. We were surrounded with beautiful greenery and enjoyed every minute of it! Grant spent his days in his cross-cultural communication class and I spent the week with other wives who have also just arrived on the field. We were able to share one another's burderns and encourage each other. It truly was a rewarding week physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We pampered ourselves, spent lots of time shopping, and even spent an afternoon touring a tea plantation. Grant loved his class and enjoyed the fellowship with his friends from Southeastern Seminary. Even Eli made friends with the little ones there. A group came from North Carolina to take care of our kids for us and they spoiled them to death! They even sent the kids home with all kinds of toys and snacks from America. We are so grateful for the love they showed them! We were also able to enjoy worshiping together (in English!) and being taught the Word by Dr. Akin. Thanks to those who came to lead us in worship and Dr. Akin and his family. You truly blessed us this week! We all had a great time and it was hard to say good-bye. We look forward to returning next January for another class. We hope to be able to see more of Kenya next year!
